Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - A total of 32 motorcyclists were ticketed by the Traffic Police for violating the canalization lanes on Jalan Ahmad Yani Km 2 in Banjarmasin.
"Decisive action by ticketing two-wheel riders who do not pass the canalization lane (left side of road) have done since Wednesday (24/8)," said Deputy Head of Traffic Police AKP Abdurrahman here Thursday.
The left lane canalization is specifically designed for two-wheeler passing along Jalan Ahmad Yani.
He said ticketing was done because Banjarmasin traffic police (Satlantas) has conducted socialization to the two-wheel riders in the city.
Banjarmasin traffic police appealed to all bikers or two wheelers to get used to passing canalization lane that has been provided.
"Motorists who do not pass in the canalization lane directly ticketed," said the man who is familiar with the media crew.
Meanwhile, a motorist named Ahul, Banjarmasin resident, said he did not know the rules of the canalization passing lane.
"I'm driving as usual and enter lane for car and do not know about the ban now and would be ticketed," he said.
