Coal producer PT Adaro won two prestigious awards, Good Mining Practice (GMP) Award and Subroto Award 2023, from Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Ministry.
President Director of PT Adaro Indonesia Priyadi received the awards from the ESDM Ministry's acting Director General of Minerals and Coal Bambang Suswantono in Jakarta, Friday (September 29, 2023), the company noted in a press statement here, Monday.
GMP award bestowed on the company for successfully applying good mining principles. It also part of efforts to implement environmental, social, and governance (ESG) in the company, especially in how company performance is achieved in an enviromentally manner, from operation to product results.
Subroto Award, which was the highest in ESDM, was presented to people who made a real contribution to Indonesia over the past year

Priyadi remarked that the company will maintain its good performance and is ready to look for new innovations as a concrete form of Adaro's contribution in Indonesia's mining sector.
“Whether there is award or not, we always work to be better. Having awards spurs enthusiasm that people value us,” he said.
Priyadi said that GMP Award and Subroto Award 2023 for an Innovative Community Development Program (PPM) was an apreciation for the hard work of all PT Adaro Indonesia teams, including all work partners in making it happen.
“This is one of the benchmarks for the performance results of guidance and supervision carried out by ESDM Ministry for mining business and mining service entities in 2023,” said ESDM Minister Arifin Tasrif.
According to him, the principles of good mining techniques will continue to be applied through mining environmental management, reclamation and post-mining, besides the technical management of mining, mineral and coal conservation management, and the use of technology.
