Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - A total of 150 residents who live overseas or outside were invited in Banjar Culture Congress (KBB) IV planned to be held on 12 to 14 August in Banjarmasin.

Head of Culture Department of South Kalimantan Culture,  Tourism, Youth and Sports Agency (Disbudparpora) Mujiyat SP on Friday said KBB which is held every three years invites Banjarese who live outside throughout the country and abroad.

"There are as many as 150 invitations we've spread to the Bubuhan Banjar (Banjarese Association), including to those in foreign countries, such as Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, and others," Gomez said.

According to him, KBB IV held in 2016 took the theme "Strengthening of Banjar Culture". The activities to be financed through the budget by Rp500 million.

"So most of people invited from out of South Kalimantan we refund their transport costs, particularly the chairman of Kerukunan Bubuhan Banjar," he said.

Their present is important, said Mujiyat, because Banjar culture should be kept sustainable Banjar to be carried out despite being outside their homeland.

"In addition to exchange ideas how Banjar culture continues to be sustained and passed on from generation to generation," he said.

Mujiyat also assured that leaders and artists in South Kalimantan will be invited, so silaturrahmi can be interwoven between residents to strengthen the joint commitment to maintain the cultural heritage of the ancestors.
