Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The government of Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, and Bandung, West Java, work together to realize the Smart City for both cities.


Banjarbaru PR's press release received by AntaranewsKalsel on Thursday here said, the cooperation was signed by Banjarbaru Mayor Nadjmi Adhani and Mayor of Bandung Ridwan Kamil.

"The signing of the cooperation is to realize the Smart City conducted on the sidelines of the General Assembly V of Apeksi (Indonesian Municipalities Association).in Jambi," said Head of Banjarbaru Public Relations Johan Arifin.

According to Johan, the cooperation that the two regions are ready to build is in the field of development towards smart city and creative economic development between the two regions.

The development of smart cities will be done through information technology based city management for the effective, efficient and transparent implementation.

"The signing of this cooperation agreement is a result of the formulation of Apeksi and both cities agreed to cooperate on these two areas," he said.

Head of Public Relations quoted Acting Regional Secretary Abdullah Said who attended Apeksi meeting in Jambi said this cooperation is the beginning of an effort to realize the intelligent city.

"The cooperation includes the improvement of internet-based public services and Banjarbaru municipal government got short guide related to public services have been applied by Bandung," he said.

He said the municipal government will set up a public services system either manually or an "online" to be applied according to the needs of local city.

"In line with the vision and mission of the mayor of the most important things that must be changed is the mindset of the apparatus in providing public services to the entire community," said Johan.
