Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Kotabaru Narcotics Police along with Kotabaru Narcotics Agency (BNK) conducted urine test on speedboat operators and ship crew (ABK) of Eid transportation.


"To welcome Eid-al-Fitr 1437 Hijr we work with BNK, Transportation Agency, as well as related agencies conduct urine tests to anticipate if transportion crew taking drugs, thus endangs its passengers," said Kotabaru Police Chief AKBP H Suhasto through the head of Drug Police AKP Ubaldus Delo here on Sunday.

"A total of 27 speedboat operators and ship crews underwent urine tests were all negative," he explained.

According to Ubaldus, after no operators and crews consume drugs, then the number of accidents at sea can be minimized, and passengers do not need to be alarmed again.

In addition to urine test on speed boat operator and shipa crew, drug police together with BNK has also conducted urine tests on inter-city in the province drivers and travel drivers at the Stagen Terminal, Kotabaru.

"The urine test is also to ensure the safety of passengers homecoming, so that passengers can be more calm," he said.

Secretary of BNK Kotabaru AKP Sigit Chahyono added this event is an effort to anticipate the homecoming transport accidents.

"Urine tests for public transport driver and crew have done a sudden," he said.
