Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Residents of East Banjarmasin asks police especially the local sector police and City Traffic Police to take any action against illegal racing action that rife in Ramadan.
"Almost every night wild racing action done by young people during the fasting month," said a resident of East Banjarmasin Wiji Purwono here on Thursday.
He said they doing wild racing from predawn at around 02.00 am until 03.00 am on the road along Ahmad Yani Km 5, East Banjarmasin.
It was unfortunate about this time there was no police patrolling or curb the dangerous action which at anytime can claim other people's lives or the reckless racers lives them selves.
"I hope the police can quickly acts decisively against such action before there are casualties," he told AntaranewsKalsel.
Meanwhile a road user, Adelia, said that her self always fear when returning from the market to passing Ahmad Yani Km 5, because there always be a wild race.
The resident of Jalan Pramuka chooses to keep silent for a moment on the side of the road to wait their action when they started the race.
"I would rather succumb than anything happened, but I wonder why the police in these few days no action to curb," she said as she left.
