Head of Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Office of Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, Ari Yani optimistic of the city to fulfill the 2023 investment target.

Ari here on Wednesday said that the South Kalimantan Provincial Government has determined the investment target for Banjarmasin this year by increasing it from the previous year, namely from IDR1.3 trillion to IDR1.8 trillion.

The reason is, he admitted, Banjarmasin had surpassed the target in 2022, by reaching an investment of around IDR1.6 trillion.
 
"We are optimistic this year's investment will be bigger," said Ari Yani.

One of a big potential, he said, is in the freight and logistics sector.
 
"It seems quite busy right now in the business of transporting goods or logistics, we believe high enough that people doing business here," he said.
 
As a trading city, Ari Yani said, tourism, hotels and restaurant, including cafes, are also developing.

Considering Banjarmasin is very friendly with incoming investors from various fields, including the ease in handling licensing, he is also optimistic the city can achieve the target determined by the provincial government.

Ari Yani said that his office provides innovations easy permits management and avoid illegal levy.
 
"Many permits are currently available online, no need to go to the office, we can even send completed permits by post," he said.
