Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Mayor of Banjarmasin Ibnu Sina wants every school to install CCTV or hidden monitoring camera to keep watch their students from crime.


"We encourage schools to install CCTV in their environment till classroom. It is to supervise students from the threat of crimes such as sexual acts," he said in here on Tuesday.

The reason, said Ibn Sina, sexual crimes are now starting to rampant, including in Banjarmasi.Now the case is quite a lot and most of the victims are minors or students.

Of the reports received, said Ibnu Sina, 30 cases of sexual violence occurred in the first quarter of 2016.

"This is terrible. We do not know why. Is it because so many have stress or severe economic pressure, to commit major crimes such barbaric," he said.

He did not expect sex crimes occur in the school environment, let alone do the educators and fellow students.

"That is why we want every school to install CCTV. They could invoke its fund from the local budget," he said.

According to him, the fight against sexual crimes have to be done together. Educators and parents must be able to always supervise their children.

"Because this is our responsibility, then we should handle ittogether anyway. The police and the government will also be active in conducting surveillance and counseling to the community about saving the nation's children from sexual crimes," he explained.

According to him, there had to be strong religious and moral education for generations of this nation, because many who had strayed up that they brave to do such a big sin of adultery by force.
