Banjarmasin (South Kalimantan Antaranews) - Four hours after the murder, the joint team of Jatanras (Crime and Violence) Unit of Banjarmasin City Police and Criminal Unit of Central Banjarmasin Sector Police led by AKP Arief Prasetya Sik successfully arrested three suspects.


"Thanks to the agility and cooperation in the field in the investigation, within four hours all the perpetrators of beatings and murder finally caught," said Chief Criminal unit Police AKP Arief Prasetya here, Friday.

The beatings and killings occurred at 1:30 Friday (13/5) on Jalan Sudirman, Central Banjarmasin, right in front of the Shisha Haikal.

M Noor (26), resident of Jl Development 2, died of stab wounds in the heart. While M Saini (25), a resident of South Alalak, suffered stab wounds in the back.

"Both victims were evacuated by local residents to Ulin Hospital, but M Noor died from a serious stab wound through the heart," said the former head of the South Kalimantan Police Mobile Detective Unit.

From the investigation, police found out the perpetrators were three and one of them street singer named Andi with full-body tattoos and just out of the Teluk Dalam Prison in Banjarmasin.

A joint team immediately spread and looked for the presence of the main actor, who raging blindly on the scene until one of the victims died of his actions.

Finally on Friday morning at around 05.30, the joint team arrested Renaldi (22), a resident of Jalan Sungai Andai. He admitted he stabbed one of the victims with a knife in the back.

Police continued to pursue other perpetrators, and successfully arrested Juanda Andi Saputra (23), the main actor, resident of Jalan Masjid Jami 1, North Banjarmasin.

Andi arrested at Jalan Batu Benawa, Central Banjarmasin. He claimed to have slashed the victim twice.

Subsequently, the police also arrested the perpetrator Haris AB Neno (24), resident of Jl Padat Karya, North Banjarmasin, at his home.

Haris admitted only two piggybacking Renaldi and Andi after the beatings and killings.

"The three offenders we arrest without any resistance at all and seems resigned, so that members in the field does not need to act decisively," he said again.

The perpetrators have been named as suspects and detained in a Central Banjarmasin Police cell.

"All of suspects violated article 170, paragraph 3 Criminal Code resulted in someone else died and punishable by 12 years in prison," said the man who had just served as Criminal Police chief.
