Regent Sayed Jafar has handed over social cash aid (BST) in seven sub-districts in Kotabaru, South Kalimantan.

"This social assistance is distributed as a form of attention of the local government to the people who were affected by the hike of fuel price and inflation," said the regent as reported on Sunday.

According to him, the social assistance is also to help business actors to imprve their productivity so they continue to grow and develop.

The central and regional governments implement various strategic policies so that the impact of inflation in the regions can be anticipated to protect the society as well as maintaining their economy.

"There are seven sub-districts in Kelumpang and Hampang areas get a turn to receive BST," he said.

He said, 58 beneficiary families (KPM) in Kelumpang Hilir received the assistance, 80 in Kelumpang Hulu, 57 in Kelumpang Selatan, 133 in Hampang, 68 in Kelumpang Barat, 61 in Kelumpang Tengah, and 26 in Kelumpang Utara.

"Besides, there are also rice assistance, social fund assistance for individuals and groups, dirt bike assistance for family planning extension, and unhabitable house rehabilitation," said Said Jafar.
