The three-day Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week (JMFW) 2023 which ended on Saturday clinched Rp206.6 billion in trading contracts, Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan has informed.


"I am happy that JMFW 2023 achieved an extraordinary success. I am optimistic if we work together, we will surely achieve a success," he said while closing JMFW 2023 at the Indonesian Convention Exhibition-Bumi Serpong Damai (ICE-BSD) in South Tangerang, Banten Province on Saturday.

JMFW 2023 featured a series of events comprising fashion ahow, business matching, trade show and talk show.

JMFW 2023 coincided with Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2022. JMFE 2023 fashion show, business matching and talk show were held at Hall 3 of ICE-BSD, while trade show will be incorporated to TEI at Hall 3A.

During JMFW 2023, a wide range of trading contracts were signed with buyers from the United States, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Australia.

As an ecosystem, JMFW 2023 also involved academics' role to continue to develop new competent talents who are capable of creating works in accordance with the market demand.

To ensure the availability of local raw materials, the Trade Ministry also involves textile industry in order to ensure sustainable modest fashion in Indonesia.

"Looking ahead, let us prepare for collaboration. If (we) face obstacles, let us sit together to solve them. There will be no difficulty that we cannot solve if sit together," he said.
