Pelaihari, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - South Kalimantan provincial government named 13 priorities to be worked out in 2017, said Head of Infrastructure and Spatial Dept of South Kalimantan Planning Board (Bappeda) HM Solihin.


"The 13 development priorities in 2017 are heading toward Smart (Kalsel Cerdas), Healthy (Kalsel Sehat), Skilled (Kalsel Terampil), and Faithful South Kalimantan (Kalsel Beriman)," said HM Solihin in Pelaihari, Tuesday.

Other priorities, he mentioned, are toward Sentra Food, National Travel Destinations, Industrial Area of Trade and Services and others.

Of the 13 priorities, he explained, there are five strategic issues to do: the quality of human resources, economic competitiveness, quality and quantity of environment, regional and basic infrastructure as well as local government performance.

He said in supporting the 13 development priorities in 2017 can not be separated from macro conditions of South Kalimantan development.

The South Kalimantan development macro components include enhancing human achievement index, life expectancy, the average time of school, school time expectancy, population growth rate, unemployment rate, economic growth, inflation, poverty and more.

Furthermore, he continued, the goals and direction of development policy in 2017 are to improve the quality and equity of education development, improving access to health services, employment and entrepreneurship training, increasing knowledge of reading and writing Al-Quran and others.
