Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Kotabaru government and PT Bio Mitra Energi (BME) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for managing a biodiesel plant from Ministry of Research and Technology assistance.
"Hopefully this cooperation later have a positive impact on our society," said acting regent of Kotabaru H Isra after signing the MoU in Kotabaru Monday.
Acting Regent expects PT BME activity in Desa Serongga could have a positive impact for the community, Kotabaru District Government and the company itself.
Kotabaru Regional Secretary Suriansyah added, many benefits can be gleaned from the operation of the biodiesel plant, including biodiesel fuel can be distributed to fishermen.
"So the fishermen can have cheaper capital to sail, because biodiesel is considered cheaper than diesel," he said.
Director General of Technical Industry Development Hotmatua Daulay highly appreciates cooperation between Kotabaru Regency and PT BME.
Ruminta Sinuraya, Representative of PT BME, thank the ministry and Kotabaru government which have been entrusted the company's for the development of biodiesel plant.
"Hopefully, this cooperation can open up other cooperation in the development of renewable energy," he said.
Head of Kotabaru industry, Trade, and Cooperative H Zainal Arifin explained, the history of the biodiesel tech factory is a project of the Ministry of Research Technology granted to Kotabaru District.
