Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - General Manager of PT PLN Region South and Central Kalimantan Purnomo said electricity in these two provinces will be safe in 2019.


"We predicted electricity in South and Central Kalimantan safe in 2019, because we have larger electric power than the peak load," he said in Banjarbaru Monday.

He said PLN's management gradually fix the electrical system, including adding electrical power, so as to serve customers both provinces.

PLN prepares a short-term and long-term program in an effort to provide electrical service to a customer whose number 1.4 million.

"Short-term courses conducted by maintaining plants and hire plant, while the long term by increasing the capacity of electrical power," he said.

PLN perform plant maintenance, especially for power plant units 1, 2, 3, and 4 in accordance with to the conditions in the engine plant and use of the machine.

While, the long-term program will be the completion of the Pulang Pisau and Bangkanai power plant in Central Kalimantan, which will generate electric power of 105 Mega Watt (MW).

"The Pulang Pisau and Bangkanai power plant is scheduled to enter the Barito electrical system beginning in January 2016 and became the "soul" of the South and Central Kalimantan electrical system," he said.

Then proceed in 2017 with Bangkanai power plant phase 2 with a power output capacity of 144 MW and in 2018 to build PLTMG accross Barito.

"The capacity of electric power of PLTMG 2x100 MW and steam-fueled power plant in Tanjung, South Kalimantan, also with a capacity of 2x100 MW, so that the overall power will be larger," he said.
