Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The cement company brand `Tiga Roda` PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk showed it concern for orphans by providing cash assistance and sports equipment.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk, Tarjun, H Nor Imansyah in Kotabaru on Saturday said that it is a compulsory for the company to care about the community around, among others through cash assistance and giving sports equipment.
"With sports equipments, we hope the children in the orphanage could use them to practice and exercise, but it can also prevent the entry of illegal drugs now very worrying," he said.
Imansyah hope, the cash help can also be used by the orphanage caretaker to support other programs, such as to learn the Koran, learn Arabic, mathematics and other subjects.
Chairman of Orphanage Istiqomah Kotabaru Yazid Wakid thanked the management of Indocement concerned about the orphanage. "Hopefully the help withcash and sports equipment can be utilized to the maximum by the children," he said.
He said that the influence of cigarette and drugs to children in Kotabaru is very worrying, and need to work hard to combat. With sports equipment, like soccer balls and some other sports equipment, can be a means for orphans to be unaffected.
Yazid added that the remaining residents of the orphanage less than 20 people from 60 before, due to continuing their study and some other works.
"To help smooth the orphanage children to attend school, they obtain daily pocket money, savings, and subjects tutoring," he explained.
