South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor instructed all related government agencies to immediately map out disaster prone areas in their own regions in the province for a quick anticiption.
All parties, he said, must move quickly to help people anticipating disasters and their impacts.
"Immediately provide logistic and equipment assistance that disaster victims need, such as flood victims in Tanah Laut District," he said here on Wednesday.
All commnitities affected by flood, especially areas under the authority of South Kalimantan Provincial Government, must be assisted immediately.
"All provincial officers and related agencies must be at the location, to be present in the midst of flood-affected people, to provide sense of psychological comfort and basis needs," he said.

The governor thanked all parties who have helped the flood victims, namely TNI/Polri, Tagana, volunteers, including religious leaders, communities, NGOs, and other elements.
Head of Social Protection for Disaster Victims of the South Kalimantan Social Agency Achmadi said the agency have distributed logistics for emergency response assistance to flood victims in Tanah Laut.
The assistance provided were ready-to-eat food, children food, coffee, sardines, instant noodles, ready-to-eat side dishes, mineral water, tea bags, and others.
The non-food-assistance including mattresses, red roll tents, family kits, foodware, kidware, baby clothes, adult clothing, kitchen utensils, and others.
"The total aid is more than Rp108 million,” said Achmadi.
Flood in Tanah Laut occurred since Monday (March 7, 2022) morning. At least three subdistricts were affected, namely Panyipatan, Takisung, and Pelaihari.
The flood swamped hundreds of people's houses and various public facilities and submerged some provincial roads.
Based on the results of Bhabinkamtibmas checking the water height reached 1.5 meters.
