Tanjung, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Residents of Tabalong spread over 12 sub-districts received assistance of starter package of 3 g LPG canisters from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
One of the RT in the village of Mabuun Muhammad Atis in Tanjung said 3 kg LPG starter packs has been distributed base on the list of potential recipients.
"We have already distributed 3 kg LPG canisters to villagers in accordance to the list," said Atis.
In Mabuun, Sub-district of Murung Pudak, the number of beneficiaries as many as 2,120 families of total 3 kg LPG package receiver 67,942 households in Tabalong.
A number of residents who used to using kerosene stove claimed grim helped by the assistance program of the central government considering the high price of kerosene in the region.
"Three-kilogram LPG help reduce our dependence on kerosenethat is currently worth about Rp8.000 per liter," said Lia, a Mabuun resident.
As a district oil and gas producer, this year Tabalong just received assistance of starter pack of 3 kg LPG canisters, as well as six districts in South Kalimantan province, namely Barito Kuala, North Hulu Sungai, Kotabaru, Tanah Bumbu, Tanah Laut and Tapin.
