"If there is no obstacles, ticket digitalization will be implemented in March 2022. Officers are currently preparing to install barrier gate and other supporting tools," said Head of PT ASDP Batulicin branch Justan, who was accompanied by Business Manager Akhmad Sunedi, Tuesday.

For AsDP, the implementation of ticket digitalization will reduce the circulation of cash in all ports and minimize the possibility of corruption or illegal levies.

While the benefits for the community, it opens up business opportunity to be a ticket agents by utilizing the balance of ticket purchase.

"With a capital of IDR5 million you can get dozens of transactions with a profit per transaction," he said.

Mechanism for digitalizing ticket or cash lass, prospective passenger is required to have a card similar to ATM provided by PT ASDP in cooperation with Bank Mandiri, BRI, BCA, and other banks.

The card must be filled in balance as a non-cash payment when buying a ferry ticket. If the passenger has received the code barcode, just stick it on the barrier gate and the bar will open automatically.

"This is PT ASDP's efforts to improve services for prospective passengers by accelerating digital transformation through ticket digitalization," he said.
