PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa (ITP) Tbk Plant Tarjun, through training in managing non-B3 waste and the integrated farming system, invited educators to keep and preserve the environment to be always clean.
HRGAS Dept. Head of PT ITP Tbk Plant Tarjun H Kaspul Anwar through the HR Section Head, Yanuar Arif, Sunday said this training was to improve the competence of educators and socialize about the environment.
"This training is also one of the activities to educate SMK Mitra educators so that they are committed to always protecting the environment from waste, and being able to apply it, so it can be of economic and useful value," he said.
He hopes that the participants can take care of the environment, because the environment is very important in life and we must always protect it together.
Head of P3M of PT ITP, who also a speaker, I Wayan Kedep S, said that participants learnen to make compost, cultivate vegetable crops, such as mustard greens, pokcoy, leeks, and celery using a hydroponic system, and learned to cultivate freshwater fish so they can be applied directly either in school or residence.
“Hydroponic plants are very easy to develop, the media can be rockwool, cotton, and others. Then the water that is nourished by utilizing the school yard becomes productive land," he noted in a press release.

SMKN 2 Kotabaru teacher Muhtar Riadi who participated in the training said the training was a real step for Indocement in providing education and guidance to always care about the environment.
The Deputy Principal of SMKS Tunas Bangsa Batulicin Susanti admitted that she was very happy to be able to learn more at P3M PT ITP and gave her appreciation for the good service.
“Here we can also learn more about how to manage a good environment, there we see how to use land appropriately, cultivate modern and conventional-based agriculture. It is our hope that this kind of activity can continue in the future,” she said.
