The Regent of Kotabaru H Sayed Jafar gave his appreciation to the district's U-17 FC team for winning U-17 Soeratin Cup for South Kalimantan Zone after beating the Tanah Laut's U-17 Persetala through penalty shootout.
"I ask for the development of this sport to continue to be improved to discover talented footballer in South Kalimantan, especially Kotabaru,” said the regent when welcoming the arrival of Kotabaru U-17 FC as reported on Friday.
The success of the team was warmly welcomed by the regent and football lovers in Bumi Saijaan (Kotabaru's nickname).
The Soeratin Cup tournament is part of coaching of athletes in football sport.
Sayed Jafar also asked continuous commitment to developing the potential of local young athletes, one of which is through various tournament that all young people can participate in.
