Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Kotabaru District government is keen to cooperates with PT Nusantara Bioenergy related to the management of biodiesel plant in Serongga, Kelumpang Hilir.
"In principle Kotabaru very interested in this cooperation, but it first remains to be studied carefully so that there are no problems later on," said the Acting Regent H Isra, after a visit to Medan on Monday.
Many benefits can be gleaned from the operation of biodiesel plants, as exemplified by PT Nusantara Bioenergy, which produces biodiesel fuel and then distributed to fishermen.
The biodiesel sold to fishermen at a low price, so that fishermen buy fuel for the ship's engines cheaper compared to buying diesel fuel.
Quality Controller PT Nusantara Bioenergy, KF Poon, lamented that the high-tech biodiesel plant in Serongga, untapped.
Head of Industry, Trade, and Cooperative Agency Zainal explained, the history of the biodiesel factory is a project from the Ministry of Research Technology which is granted to Kotabaru District.
