Regent Abdul Hadi asked the state civil apparatus (ASN) in Balangan District to quickly get the third or booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine shot.
The Regent in Paringin on Wednesday said that since Monday (January 24) ASN and contract workers within the Balangan government have started to receive booster vaccine.
"We ask all ASN to immediately get the booster vaccine. Then we will continue to push the second dose, which is still a bit far from the first vaccine dose," said Abdul Hadi.
In addition to the interest of public services, he said, all health workers are prioritized because they have a lot to do with the public services.
Acting Head of Balangan Health Agency Ahmad Sauki said nearly 400 ASN in the district have received the second dose of vaccine. The current booster vaccine uses the Pfizer type vaccine.
"Our target is actually all ASN in Balangan, considering many ASN had received the second dose vaccine and it has been more than six months. So it's time for a booster vaccine," he said.
The currently available Pfizer vaccine is 2,300 doses. The general public even if they want a booster vaccine it is possible to give it.
