The government of Barito Kuala (Batola) District began administering the third or booster vaccination on Monday, January 24, 2022.

The launched carried out by Regent Hj Noormiliyani AS and the first to get vaccinated were members of the district Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), government officials, religious leaders, community leaders, women leader, youth leaders, and mass organization (ormas) leaders.

“They are deliberately taken as samples so that people believe that the vaccine is not only halal but it is safe and has a positive impact on health and immunity,” said the regent.

After the leaders were all inoculated and complete the third vaccination, then the turn will be given to the public.

Noormiliyani said it has been almost two years since March 11,  2020, when WHO declared the COVID-19 as the global pandemic, including Indonesia.

In fact, she said, until now it is still in the status of pandemic, even though various efforts have been made by the government both by implementing health protocols and carrying out COVID-19 vaccination.

“Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah) vaccination in Batola for the first dose has reached 77 percent. Tonight we will draw vaccination prizes for residents who have been vaccinated the first vaccine dose,” she said.

Noormiliyani AS hoped the vaccination activities for the first and the second dose, then the third or booster to be continued until the pandemic ends.
