Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Mangrove forest in the village of Langadai, Kelumpang Hilir, Kotabaru District, South Kalimantan, became the object of studies of citizens of German.


"In addition to a visit to enjoy the beauty, tourists from Germany also conducted a study in the mangrove forest area of Langadai village," said Langadai Village Secretary Mukhtar Alwi in Kotabaru Saturday.

Mukhtar claimed, do not know exactly what was observed by the German citizen. But they pay a visit to the village within a certain time communicates with local residents and community groups now developing mangrove forest products to be processed into fresh drinks and food cake.

He added, Langadai mangrove forest area that is around 600 hectares, and other 600 hectares has now changed function by residents to clear land for fish farming.

"Even the German citizen had bought souvenirs produced by Langadai community groups, such as syrup beverage and gelatin cake processed using raw materials from Rambai fruit, which is obtained in the mangrove forest," added Chairman of the community group Adawiah.

In addition to German tourists, Langadai Mangrove forests have also been visited by tourists from Belgium, Japan, South Korea, and Turkey.
 
They come in addition to seeing the origin mangrove forests, also to see protected primates, such as the proboscis monkey, ape crested, black monkeys, long-tailed monkeys, birds and others.

Earlier, expert staff of regent Kotabaru H Akhmad Rival said, the beauty attraction of Langadai mangrove forests, which is a foster of cement company PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk Tarjun, caught attention of domestic and foreign tourists.
