Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Regional Police since September 1 have examined 105 people who allegedly burning land, which causes smog almost all areas in South Kalimantan.


South Kalimantan Police chief Brigadier General Agung Budi Maryoto in Banjarmasin on Thursday said that of 105 people as many as five cases have been included in the investigation stage and three people named as suspects and arrested.

The three suspects are now detained at the Barito Kuala, Tanah Laut, and Balangan police stations, guilty of burning the land for agricultural purposes.

"So far land burning done by individuals, no one has led to company or corporation," he said.

Modus, he said, people want to open farmland with "cut corners", ie the burning of land that has been dried to be replanted.

According to the commander, forest fires control task forces now that he led immediately deployed with whole strength, either personnel or firefighters equipment to put in the posts that have been established.

According to the commander, personnel prepared for a disaster for Martapura, Kotabaru and Banjarmasin as many as 1,800 personnel, plus transport and handling of extinguishers and law.
