PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk (Indocement) has recorded a total domestic sales volume (cement and clinker) of 12.7 million tons per quarter III/2021 or increased 594.8 thousand tons or +4,9 percent from the same period last year.
Director & Corporate Secretary of PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk Antonius Marcos said in a press release that the domestic volume especially for cement products was recorded at 12.0 million tons, or 328.4 thousand tons or +2,8 percent higher. Thus the company market share was 25.5 percent for Q3 2021.
Sales volume outside Java grew +9,2% with 15,6% market share higher than Java +0,5% with 34,1% market share.
The increase outside Java mainly occurred in Sulawesi with sales volume growth of +48,0% with a market share of 9,3%.
The condition was supported by the growth of bulk products from smelter project in Konawe, followed by sales growth in Kalimantan +12,7% with a market share of 21,0% and Sumatra +9,5% with a market share of 13,0%.
The company net income increased +4,5% to IDR10.608,7 billion vs. Q3/2020 of IDR10,149.6 billion due to higher overall sales of +6,9%.
Cost of revenue increased +4,5% from IDR-6,712.1 billion to IDR-7.016,4 billion following the growth of sales volume.
"The company has suppressed the increase in production cost with the increase of sales volume, despite higher coal prices," said Antonius Marcos.
It was because of the continuous effort to increase the use of alternative fuel and low calorific value (LCV) coal, and the most efficient kiln operation, lower distribution cost, and efficiencies in selling and administration costs.
