The Kotabaru Naval Base received a working visit from the Governor of South Kalimantan H Sabirin Noor who came to review vaccination with the them "Bergerak Untuk Kekebalan Rakyat Banua dari COVID-19" (Moving for the immunity of South Kalimantan people from COVID-19).
He stated that the South Kalimantan government would like to see people return to their normal routine activities. So as schools to return to their face-to-face learning.
The vaccination was held at the field of the Kotabaru Navy headquarters by inoculating 3,000 Astrazeneca vaccines of the first dose.
Governor said that he had instructed the province government agencies to continue to strengthen coordination and support in increasing the percentage of vaccination.
"We have to remind the whole community, even though we have been vaccinated but complying with health protocols must still be prioritized. Vaccination is indeed an effort to maintain immunity to ward off virus attack, such as COVID-19," said the Governor who familiarly called Uncle Birin.
South Kalimantan targets over 60 percent of residents to have been vaccinated by November through acceleration effort until the village level.
"In the last two weeks, we have received relatively enough vaccines, the number is 2,400,000 doses, although 6,322,000 doses are needed for the target of 3,161,137. It means 38 percent of vaccines are available from the beginning until October 30. I ordered regents and mayos throughout South Kalimantan to ask the apparatus in their ranks, especially sub-district heads to prepare a minimum of 500 targets per day. If it works, our target by December will be fulfilled," he expounded.

"We should make this program successful to increase vaccination achievement, thus herd immunity will be built in South Kalimantan, especially in Kotabaru," said the Kotabaru Regional Secretary H Said Ahmad Assegaf.
Vaccination was carried out in 6 locations with a total of 7,250 doses. He expressed his appreciation to Uncle Birin for the support given to the Kotabaru government so far in handling COVID-19.
