South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor appreciated the Banjarbaru City Government and related parties for the achievement of 62 percent COVID-19 vaccination of the total target of 195,115 people.

"Thank you Mayor and the ranks, as well as all related parties for their hard work," said the Governor who familiarly called Uncle Birin in Banjarbaru, Monday.

According to him, Banjarbaru has the highest achievement compared to several other regions.

Governor hopes that the collaboration has been built among components will remain strong in stemming the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Currently the case of COVID-19 in South Kalimantan is getting more sloping, I hope you don't be careless, remain vigilant, continue to apply 5M," he pointed out.

The 5M are wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, and reducing mobility.

The acceleration of vaccination in South Kalimantan continues to be carried out in order to achieve the target of 70 percent by the end of the year.

Head of South Kalimantan Health Agency HM Muslim in Banjarmasin on Monday said that the current vaccination program for the province has reached 44.4 percent.

"To catch up with the shortage, now we continue to carry out acceleration, one of which is through the Mobile Vaccination program," he said.
