Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - A number of state-owned enterprises (BUMN) in South Kalimantan to plant 10,000 mangrove trees in the series of 70th Independence Day celebrations.


General Manager of PT PLN South-Central Kalimantan Mursalin in Banjarbaru on Wednesday said, planting to be in the Sungai Loban, Pagatan, Tanah Bumbu District, August 15, 2015.

"Planting of 10 thousand mangrove trees in cooperation with Lulut Mangrove and Research Institute of the University of Lambung Mangkurat," said the executive coordinator of the event.

He said the institution he leads was appointed as executive coordinator of activities named "BUMN Present for the Nation" for South Kalimantan region in cooperation with other state enterprises.

Planting 10,000 mangrove as a form of concern for the environment, particularly in maintaining the sustainability of mangrove ecosystems in the province. This activity is part of the 13 activities of all BUMN in South Kalimantan in commemorating the nation's independence day.

Collaborative activities of state companies in South Kalimantan is expected to have a direct impact to the community and people become more familiar with BUMN.
