A young girl, Dhea Maulida, thanks to her spiring roll skin production house, won the second winner in the food category of the 2021 National Youth Pioneer.
"Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah) after going through the national jury assessment from 24 to 27 of October 2021, I won the second in the food category of the 2021 National Youth Pioneer," said Dhea Maulida, who represented Banjarmasin, here yesterday.
Dhea said she began the spiring roll skin business in 2016 with a capital of IDR200,000. Now she could make a turnover of IDR600 million to IDR700 million per year with 16 of her employees.
She took them from school dropout and encouraged them to pursue Kejar Paket A to obtain an elementary school certificate.

In a day, her production house, Kulit Lumpia Beruntung, could produce 15,000 sheets of spring roll skin. Whereas the demand could reach 50,000 sheets that it is hard for her to meet the consumer's need.
She hopes in the future spiring roll skin will become a typical food of South Kalimantan, when she can realize her aspiration to build Kampung Lumpia (spring roll skin village).
Dhea also made an innovation by processing spiring roll skin filled with shredded snakehead fish (locally known as iwak rabuk haruan).
"Lumpia skin does not use preservatives, it only uses premium flour. This vegan product has no animal ingredients and it has legality," Dhea expounded.
She uses Instagram, Tiktok, Shopee, and Facebook, for marketing.
She also prepares one or two persons for regeneration by providing self-training. She hopes through these activities to produce young entrepreneurs.
