Six students of high vocational school SMK Negeri 2 Kandangan, South Hulu Sungai (HSS), will compete at the national and world level.

Headmaster of SMK Negeri 2 Kandangan H. Agus Ratmono, together with the six students, met with Regent of HSS H. Achmad Fikry, Tuesday (Sept 14, 2021).

He said he wanted prayer and support from the HSS government for his six students who will take part in the national and world competitions.

"Five students will compete in 19th National Student Competency Competition (LKS) in bricklaying, wall and floor tiling, cabinet making, landscape, and gardening," he said.

The LKS will be held on October 24–30, 2021 in Semarang, then one alumnus to take part in the World Skills Competition (WSC) in the wall and floor tiling in China in 2022.

Regent H. Achmad Fikry appreciated and was proud of the talented children who have active skills with a passion for practicing, so they were chosen to represent the region at national and international competitions.

He hopes they will gain the best results in the events they will be going through, in accordance with the principle of “SMK Bisa” (SMK can do it).

"Never feel pessimistic about ourselves, we must be optimistic, we must be able. Of course, this principle must also be accompanied by hard work and prayer," he said.
