"TNI is also ready to provide assistance to the people associated with the cultivation of food crops, so there is not an inch of ground left alone," said Commander of the Military Regiment (Danrem) 101 Antasari Colonel Muhammad Abduh Ras.

According to him, as a serious form of military support increased corn production in Tanah Laut, it targets about 300 hectares of land in the area to be planted with corn.

Previously, TNI through Battalion 623 Sungai Ulin, Banjarbaru, already planted corn area of ​​70 hectares and the result is 5.5 tonnes per hectare.

Furthermore, he said, not only the corn crop. TNI also ready to growing rice and soybeans.

Separately, Vice Regent of Tanah Laut Sukamta discloses, in the near future planting area of ​​corn ready for harvest in Tanah Laut totaling 7,999 hectares.

With the cooperation of Tanah Laut and military, he said, of course will increase the motivation for farmers in the area to increase corn production.

Regent Bambang Alamsyah hoped, vacant land that is currently abandoned should be used for the cultivation of maize farming and other crops.
