Balangan, S Kalimantan, May 28 (Antara)- A whirlwind battered three villages in Batumandi sub-district, Balangan District, South Kalimantan Province, damaging 113 houses.
The affected villages are Bungur, Batumandi, and Teluk Masjid, Head of the Balangan Disaster Mitigation Office (BPBD) Alive Yoesfah Love stated here on Thursday.
One person was injured, and several trees were uprooted due to the strong winds.
Other public facilities damaged by the whirlwind include school buildings, mosques, and government offices.
The local authorities have moved the fallen trees that were blocking the roads and bridges.
