Tapin Police Chief Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Pipit Subiyanto in Rantau on Friday said that TNI-Polri (military and police) are distributing basic food necessities to the people affected by COVID-19.

“There are at least 300 food packages distributed to people affected by COVID-19,” he said.  

The assistance was distributed directly by Bhabinkamtibmas (Public order police officer) of Tapin Police and Babinsa (a village supervisory non-commissioned officer) of 1010 Tapin District Military Command.

He said this activity is social assistance related to the emergency public activity restriction (PPKM Darurat) carried out in Indonesia.

“The National Police Chief (Kapolri) and the TNI Commander (Panglima TNI) ordered than ranks throughout Indonesia to help each other to ease the burden of people in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, one of which by providing basic necessities to people affected by COVID-19,” he explained.
