Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - 27 universities took part in a national robot contest in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan.


This robot contest involved four categories, namely Abucon Indonesia (KRAI) with the theme of badminton, fire extinguisher robot Indonesia (KRPAI), wheeled and legged category, then the robot dance (KRSI) and football Indonesia (KRSBI).

Chief Executive of Robot Contest Rudy Haryanto here on Saturday said 27 universities participated in the contest came from Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Papua, Maluku, Nusa Tenggara and Bali.

"Total contestants are 160 people plus 67 lecturers," he said.

Sultan Suriansyah Building changed like a sports field. There was a football field, badminton and futsal field, to play robots which participated in the contest.

Special host Poliban Banjarmasin, said Rudy, played all categories, except football.

"We have not been able to follow the football contest, because the  robot price is quite expensive, namely Rp15 million for a robot," he said.

While the robot for other categories, such as fire fighting robot, badminton and dancers, are between Rp5 million to Rp10 million for a robot.

Since the annual robot contest held nationwide, he said, the development of technological capabilities and creativity of students in South Kalimantan increasing quite rapidly.
