Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - AIDS Commission (KPA) of Banjarbaru found three people with AIDS, who had previously been attacked by the Human Immuno Deficiency Virus (HIV).


"Three people with AIDS were detected since two months ago. Now they are still undergoing regular treatment," said Secretary of KPA Banjarbaru Edi Sampana here on Wednesday.

He said the three AIDS patients are two women and one man. Their condition often sickly. Their identity can not be mentioned.

The three had undergone treatment in Ulin General Hospitals Banjarmasin, Ratu Zalecha General Hospitals Martapura and communiy health centers (Puskesmas) Guntung Payung.

"After undergoing treatment at three health care centers, then they discovered being stricken with AIDS after HIV positive," he said.

According to the functional official of Banjarbaru Health Agency, the status of three people living with HIV to AIDS probably due to delays in the handling of the disease.

"People with HIV still looks healthy and able to move, but if it's too late to handle and do not undergo routine treatment then it could be AIDS," he said.

Therefore, he hoped not only to HIV-positive patients, but the common people should blood tested to determine the HIV infected or not.
