Haji Maming Six Nine Foundation guarantees tuition fees for 100 students of the University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) in South Kalimantan until graduation or a maximum of eight semesters.
"Alhamdulilah today Chairman of Haji Maming Six Nine Foundation Syafruddin H Maming signed a scholarship for selected ULM students," said Head of ULM Cooperation Sub-division Rahman, Thursday.
In the initial stage, 25 students from Tanah Bumbu District receive the scholarship. Each person receives tuition and living expenses of IDR5 million per semester. Thus in four years or eight-semester, each student will receive is financed IDR40 million until they graduate.
Rahman said next year there will be an additional 25 students of the total planned 100 scholarship recipients. If it is calculated, the Haji Maming Foundation will disburse IDR4 billion with detail per batch of IDR1 billion.
"In the first year only students from Tanah Bumbu to receive the assistance, but next year we will allocate 50 percent from other regions as needed," he explained.

For the great concern of Haji Maming Foundation, Rahman representing Rector of ULM Prof Sutarto Hadi expressed gratitude and high appreciation.
Haji Maming Foundation, who Chairman of the Board of Trustee Mardani H Maming --currently the Chairman of Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (BPP HIPMI) and the former Regent of Tanah Bumbu for two periods-- is known to keen to support human resources program in South Kalimantan.
Especially for ULM, the largest and the best public university in Kalimantan with A accreditation, Mardani through its foundation consistently helps with the various scholarship programs.
One of them is a scholarship of IDR4.8 billion for 21 ULM students who took the doctoral for Social Science at the Airlangga University (Unair) Surabaya in January 2018 until ULM is able to open the doctoral program (S3) in Development Studies, which is recorded as the 4th in Indonesia.
