As many as 22 administrators of village-owned enterprises (BUMDes) and 11 representatives from each sub-district in South Hulu Sungai (HSS) District took part in the assistance provided by the Development Finance Comptroller (BPKP) South Kalimantan to implement the BUMDes Accounting Information System (SIA) app.
The BPKP Coordinator of Supervision for Accounting Tuguh in Kandangan on Tuesday (25/5) said that HSS was the first district in South Kalimantan to organize the assistance activities to implement the app.
"The central government has set in its national medium-term development program (RPJMN) to revitalize 1,800 advanced BUMDes and 10,000 developing BUMDes throughout Indonesia," he said.
In this case, BPKP wanted to have a role in improving financial governance by making the SIA Bumdes application. He was very proud that HSS was proactive as the first region in South Kalimantan wanted to implement this app.

Regent H. Achmad Fikry thanked the BPKP for providing assistance in HSS. BUMDes, he said, needed to be handled professionally so its financial management is well managed, according to the government accounting standards.
He hopes that BUMDes can strengthen the economy in the village, able to facilitate the needs of the village community. However, he reminded, that BUMDes not to become a competitor or take the existing community business fields.
"BUMDes must be able to create business opportunities that do not yet exist. Good and healthy management of BUMDes will increase income for the village apparatus itself," he said.

Head of HSS Community and Village Empowerment Agency Susilo Adiyanto said this mentoring activity was carried out one day, intended to provide convenience for the BUMDes administrators in managing the enterprise.
