The Banjarmasin City Government has allocated IDR2 billion to maximize the micro-scale public activity restriction (PPKM) operational in five sub-districts.

Acting Secretary of Banjarmasin Mukhyar here on Monday said that this is related to the extension of micro-scale public activity restriction in the city from May 4 to May 24, 2021.

"So there is no longer any reason that the micro-scale PPKM cannot run because there is no funding," he said.

Because the implementation of the micro-scale PPKM relies on existing posts in the urban villages down to the neighborhood unit (RT) level, said Mukhyar, the sub-district must be able to coordinate well.

"In accordance with the mayor's instruction, we allocate PPKM funds. The funds are coordinated by each sub-district head. Which sub-district need more, the allocation will be more as needed," he explained.
