"Pilot paddy land prepared in supporting the government program to prepare food self-sufficiency," said Danrem 101/Ant on the sidelines of the activities attended by Mayor Banjarbaru Ruzaidin Noor, DPRD Speakers AR Iwansyah, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, and the commander and the ranks of Yonif 623 and relevant officials.
He said, the limited agricultural land should be utilized to maximize the productivity of agricultural products to meet the needs of society.
One example of land use that is planting rice seedlings in front of Mako (Command Headquarters) of Yonif 623/BWU Sungai Ulin with examples of the types of rice throughout South Kalimantan.
"We only utilize the vacant land in front of or around the mako and expect rice seedlings planted as a pilot to flourish," he hoped.
Mayor Banjarbaru Ruzaidin Noor said the prime planting rice seedlings in front Mako Yonif 623 is the support of soldiers in growing food.
