Martapura, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Regent Banjar Khairul Saleh inaugrated 3,200 green troops members from various circles to act as those who are concerned about the cleanliness of the environment.
"Our hope, green troops able to contribute to create an environment that is clean, healthy and green, especially in their own environment," said regent in Martapura on Tuesday.
He said, thousands of green troops from the elements of society, students and teachers play an important role in creating an environment that is clean, healthy and green.
He described, the role is of the moral responsibility of all parties, so that all can bring about an environment that provides a sense of comfort and healthy surroundings.
"Quite a number of environmental awareness activities that can be implemented and the entire green army can participate actively, so that their role as environmental cadres materialized," he said.
Related to commemoration of the National Waste Concern, Banjar District has implemented various environmental activities that involve community.
Activities such as race in utilizing waste in the form of a fashion show, race 3R, mutual assistance in cleaning up the environment and other activities.
