Barito Kuala, South Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Starting next year, the Interior Ministry will establish a firefighters center of education.
"Next year firefighters will have its own training center," said Interior Minister Tjahjo Kumolo after attending the 96th anniversary of firefighters in Marabahan, Barito Kuala, South Kalimantan, Sunday (28/2).
Besides promising campus for its special education, Tjahjo Kumolo calls attention to local governments to include the educatation of professionals firefighters in the budget and hoping to be supported by all parties.
Fire Dept itself not only associated with fire extinguishing, but includes efforts to rescue victims.
"South Kalimantan Government provide routine guidance such as upgrading their ability in every year ," said Governor of South Kalimantan H Rudy Ariffin.
Through BPBDs, South Kalimantan provincial government held a competition to improving the ability of personnel of fire agency. And this year has entered the fifth match.
The day before, it held National Coordinating Meeting (Rakornas) and Fire dexterity followed by 64 participants from 13 districts and cities in South Kalimantan.
The first winner was Hipta from South Hulu Sungai (HSS) and the runner up was Silva Singakarsa also from HSS, the third place won by Banjarmasin' Indrapura and the forth captured by Ajira Firefighters of Barito Kuala.
