Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalimantan) - The Banjarmasin City Chief Police Commissioner Drs Wahyono MH stated shoot in sight policy to offenders if officer in life-threatening.


"Use an approachment first, otherwise it could endanger the lives of law officers then shoot," he told AntaranewsKalsel reporter on Saturday.

He said that every police in making arrests and the investigation has fixed procedures (SOPs) that must be followed. If the SOPs stages traversed, all will be in accordance with procedures.

SOP has six stages and the final stage is shot on the spot. However, it must be believed to be true to have evidence the proceeds of crime also endanger the lives of officers.

Wahyono also said that every member of a police raid or inspection is equipped with a standard firearm to protect themselves while in the field.

"The police officers who have firearms hopefully not too mild a little hand shot just want to play, but must adjust to the existing standard operating procedure," said the number one police in Banjarmasin.

Banjarmasin Police will also crack down on any person who dared to use the "cowboy" action one slightly pulled out a gun and opened fire.
