Pelaihari, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Head of the Tanah Laut Forest Agency, H Ahmad hairin, revealing the reforestation to re-done this year through Reforestation Land (RHL) program for an area of about 350 hectares.
"Reforestation of land through the RHL program conducted annually through the Special Allocation Fund (DAK) and Tanah Laut district budget," he said in Pelaihari, Thursday (12/2).
There are several locations into RHL activities, especially in the areas of critical land.
"The type of tree to be planted are multicultural crops, such as fruits , the source of bees feed trees, and sengon," he explained.
He explained that reforestation should involve community and company, because if only hoping government funding is very limited implementation of reforestation.
"The role of the community and the company is required to help reforestation in Tanah Laut," he said.
According to him, mining companies conducting production in Tanah Laut should be more active in reforestation.
"Mining companies have the obligation to conduct reclamation and reforestation of land, so the land can be returned to normal," he said.
In connection with the floods that hit the three districts in the Tanah Laut, he explained, it is due to high rainfall and water flows into the lower plains.
"The three districts affected flood are the low-lying areas and empties into the sea. So it was not a result of damage to the land," he said.
