President Director of Ulin General Hospital dr Hj Suciati and President Director of Harapan Kita (Heart and Blood Vessel) Hospital Dr dr Iwan Dakota MKes signed a Memorandum of Understanding at Ulin Tower Floor 7 witnessed by acting Governor of South Kalimantan Safrizal ZA, Tuesday (Mar 23, 2021).
The MoU was in the framework of service and referral network, as well as human resources development in the field of heart and blood vessels.
After the signing, the acting Governor and Jakarta's Harapan Kita director were invited to review the facilities and room for the treatment of heart patients available at the Ulin Hospital.
Safrizal said in this collaboration the Jakarta's Harapan Kita will coach Ulin until it is independently able to treat patients with open blood vessel and heart surgery. “Harapan Kita Hospital will provide guidance for two years,” he said.
While being given guidance, Ulin Hospital serves open heart surgery with assistance from Harapan Kita.
“So you don't have to wait two years, from now on Ulin Hospital can serve heart surgery in the company of Harapan Kita, both in experts and equipment,” said Safrizal.

Dr Iwan Dakota said Ulin is one of 54 hospitals in Indonesia that are guided by Harapan Kita related to cardiovascular networks.
“Harapan Kita has an obligation to provide guidance for the cardiovascular network development, there are 54 hospitals we are guiding at present, one of which is Ulin,” said Iwan.
Meanwhile, Hj Suciati said that Ulin Hospital so far has actually been able to serve heart patients and perform interventions, such as placing a ring.
Currently, it has 46 personnel for heart and blood vessel service. “They have been apprenticed since two years ago, both for surgery and post-surgery. We also have a doctor,” she said.
"What remains to be discussed with Harapan Kita Hospital is related to open heart and blood vessel surgery equipment," said Suciati.
