The District Government of North Hulu Sungai (HSU) plans to build a new hospital on a 4.8 hectare land in Muara Tapus Village, Central Amuntai Sub-district and allocates a fund of IDR209 billion.

Acting Head of HSU Health Agency Dr Danu Frans Fotohena here on Friday (Mar 19,2021) said that the hospital will be a type C with three floors.

"In the first stage four units will be built, namely policlinic, emergency room, hemodialysis, then X-ray room, delivery room, and inpatient rooms with 100 beds," he said.

According to him, the construction is scheduled to be completed in 2022 and immediately start operating. Then, some rooms, and other facilities to be added.  

"Insya Allah (God Willing) in 2026 the construction will all be finished," he said when socializing the plan at the Kalijo Amuntai Restaurant.

The development preparation related to environmental impact analysis (AMDAL) and other documents, he said, had already been done.

Likewise, the preparation of construction management and consultants. Physical construction is scheduled to take place from July 2021 to August 2022.

Danu hopes that the construction of the new hospital will improve health services and quality, as well as provide comfort to residents who seek treatment because of more complete facilities. 

"The hospital in the early stage will be built with type C, and in the process to develop later to type B," he said.
