Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Kotabaru to build a bridge from Pulaulaut to the mainland of Kalimantan with a length of about 6 kilometers with joint cost.

Regent Kotabaru, H Irhami Ridjani, here on Thursday said the bridge will be built with the involvement of Tanah Bumbu District and cost around Rp3.5 trillion.

"Kotabaru and Tanah Bumbu each of Rp500 billion, Rp700 billion by South Kalimantan provincial government, and the remaining approximately Rp1.8 trillion from central government," said Irhami.

The initial plan, the bridge will be built in Kotabaru from Tarjun-Stagen, using compensation from the company iron ore mines and coal Group PT Sebuku Iron Lateritic Ores (SILO), around Rp700 billion.

But the plan was canceled, because the central government does not issue permits for the use of natural reserve forest area for the location of the bridge. Finally, plan location shifted to around Tanjung Serdang, Kotabaru, and another side at Tanah Merah, Tanah Bumbu.

"Now the bridge construction plan has been included in the list of the National Development Plan (RPJM)," said Regent.
