Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin Criminal Investigation Unit Police arrested an embezzlement and fraud recidivist after deceiving a woman Rp17.5 million in Jamkespro handling in hospital.
"The perpetrator is a recidivist and he was captured after police received a report from the victim," said the criminal detective police chief Commissioner Wildan Albert in Banjarmasin, Wednesday.
He said the perpetrator known as Syahrani aka Anang Kentung (49), a resident of Banjarmasin. He was arrested on Tuesday (27/1) at around 16:00 pm on Jalan Veterans, Central Banjarmasin.
He was undergoing investigation for alleged perpetrators of criminal acts against the victim named Silvia (27), a resident of RT 004 Jalan Kelayan B, South Banjarmasin. If found guilty, then the police will entrap him with article 372 of the Criminal Code Jo 378 and carries a penalty of over five years.
While Kentung admitted he did embezzlement and fraud against the victim's money. "I use the victim's money to dissipate and I do not submit to the hospital for the Jamkespro (provincial health insurance)," he said.
