Kotabaru District reported 10 new positive cases on Thursday, March 11, 2021, and on the same day, 10 patients were declared recovered.

The increase of 10 positive cases taking the district's residents exposed to the novel coronavirus disease count to 1,390, acting Head the Kotabaru Health Office Hj Ernawati noted in a press statement.

While the new recoveries bringing the total number to 1,191. The office reported no additional of patient died, and the death toll remained at 55.

Currently, 144 patients were undergoing isolation or being quarantined. They were spread 9 at Stagen Hospital and 26 at the Pangeran Jaya Sumitra (PJS) Hospital in Kotabaru.

However, a number of patients were undergoing treatment outside the district. They were 3 at Ciputra Hospital Banjarmasin, 2 at Andi Abdurrahman Noor Hospital in Tanah Bumbu, 1 at the Sarimulia Hospita in Banjarmasi, and 15 others at the police detention center. 

As many as 88 confirmed positive patients were undergoing self-isolation. 

Hj Ernawati in a press statement said that apart from that, there are 92 travelers and 16 close contacts.
