Kotabaru District Government received 12 young doctors in the 1st batch of the 2021 Indonesian Internship Doctors Program (PIDI).
They were welcomed by the government's 2nd Assistant for Economy and Development H Akhmad Rivai as well health officials at the hall of Pangeran Jaya Sumitra General Hospital, Tuesday.
The number of internship doctors in the district has continued to increase since 2015, for the reason Kotabaru has met the criteria for the place of PIDI held by the Ministry of Health.
Akhmad Rivai said he really appreciated the continuation of PIDI. "We know that this program is a training for doctor profesionalism in accordance with Law No 24 of 2019 on practicality," said Rivai.
He hopes that by following the medical practice the participants will master the medical knowledge that has been studied.
"A total of 12 PIDI participants will later be divided into three special locations, namely Pangeran Jaya Sumitra Hospital, Serongga health center in Kelumpang Hilir, and Sungai Kupang health center in Kelumpang Hulu," said acting Head of Kotabaru Health Agency Hj Ernawati.
The program from the Ministry of Health is implemented for one year from February 2021 to February 2022, she said.
